Advocating for Caregivers
In 2019, Susan Stasiak began her mission to sustain caregivers by writing and speaking on the importance of mental self-care. Backed by 30 years of consulting, training, and coaching, Susan assisted organizations and employees to expand their capacity to learn, adapt, and self-correct. She integrated cognitive-behavioral therapy and emotional intelligence practices then applied these practices to her spousal caregiving. Today, Susan continues to champion caregivers with articles, speeches, and webinars on “Caring for the Mind of the Caregiver.” Earlier in her career, Susan was a science and health textbook editor for Charles Merrill Publishing, now Macmillan Publishing.
Susan is proudly accredited by the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Foundation Education Series, is a Certified Caregiver Advocate, and trained as a Mental Health First Aider from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
